Fire Strobes

Using the MicroSync™ Digital to fire strobes:

Whether you’re shooting in the studio or on location, the MicroSync™ Digital Wireless Strobe Sync System allows you to fire strobes wirelessly. Unlike infrared systems, the MicroSync™ uses advanced radio frequency technology that does not require line of sight. This enables you to fire your strobes around corners, through walls, and across reception halls.
What you need:
  1. MicroSync™ Digital Kit (includes a transmitter and receiver).
  2. A camera with a universal hot shoe. If your camera doesn’t have a universal hot shoe, click here.
  3. A strobe with a ¼” mono plug or household plug (aka two prong) sync input. If your strobe doesn’t have either, click here.
How to do it:
  • Turn on your camera and strobe.
  • Place the MicroSync™ transmitter into your camera’s hot shoe. See Photo #1.
  • Open the battery compartment of the MicroSync™ receiver and install the “AA” batteries (included with the kit) in the MicroSync™ receiver. See Photo #2.
  • Plug the MicroSync™ receiver into your strobe’s sync input. See Photo #3. Shoot.
